Who are we?

We are group of clinicians who are very enthusiastic about the science of mechanical ventilation and hoping to improve and enhance our understanding of mechanical ventilation as well share whatever knowledge we gain with every one.

Who is the publisher of the journal?

The journal is a subsidiary of and published by the Society of Mechanical Ventilation a non profit organization established in 2021, Hawaii, USA.

Why a new Journal?

Research and educational materials about mechanical ventilation is widely scattered among so many journals, social media, and other sources of different medical professions. The Journal of Mechanical Ventilation  was created to be a specific platform only for mechanical ventilation that is free and accessible to everyone.

Who are the target audiences?

Anyone who is interested in mechanical ventilation, work with mechanical ventilators, do research related to mechanical ventilation from any clinical specialty or professional role.

Is the journal indexed – Impact factor ?

The Journal of Mechanical Ventilation is currently indexed in Crossref, Google Scholar, Zenodo, OpenAIRE, Research Gate, Portico, WorldCat, Mendley, Index Copernicus, and OJS/PKI .

We are continuously pursuing indexing our journal in more repositories.

Is the journal peer-reviewed?

Yes, all the manuscripts submitted to the journal are peer reviewed by two reviewers.

Are there any fees for publications?

There are no fees for submission, publication or for downloading any of the Journal materials. The Journal is  an open access self-published, nonprofit.

Why publish with the journal?

Your publication will be visible permanently online with its one DOI.

Once the journal becomes indexed, all the publications get retrospectively included.
